...another one that I haven´t have time to publish
My friend Rachel, former colleague from the times of American Standards Inc. in the US, is once again working in Belgium. This time in a Sarbanes-Oxley project- her expertise- in Vilvoorde...
We went out last Thursday July 13 before leaving to London...
We met at Grand Place...my favorite place in Brussels...because it is woderful...
Extremely beautiful even with the 10 thousand turists making double amount of pictures every second of the year ; even after it is been almost 3 years I' ve first discovered it, not taking account of the fact that I live here. For me, it is one of the most magic corners of the world... I cannot passed by and ignore it... any time I am there I have to stop right in the middle and just look. No picture can capture the beauty of this place..
If you ever come to Brussels...even for couple of hours...do not miss it!
Then, very close to Grand place there is a hidden place called Café La Bécasse, which specialities are Lambic, Geuze & Kriek beers. It is a very tiny place located in a traditional house of almost 130 years old. We love to drink Lambic, a slightly sweetened beer typical of Brussels, still serve in its traditional jars (see picture of Rachel / Ludo). Excellent to kill thirst at more than 30 degrees!
...after a great beer..we end up eating in a very nice resto called Hemispheres featuring exotic food from India, Maroc, Mexico, Israel...etc... Not only good food, but quite and ambience. Very nice evening... It was great to see you Rai Rai, as usual. Next time at our place!
La Bécasse (Rue de Tabora, 11- 1000 Brussels)
